Robin Pimentel

A founding member of Pimentel & Castillo, Robin Pimentel made the move from his hometown of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, to Miami 30 years ago. Robin attended Florida International University in Miami, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. He would then go on to graduate at the top of his class while earning his Juris Doctorate Degree from St. Thomas University, before being admitted to the Florida Bar in 2006.

FullSizeRenderAs a former prosecutor in Miami-Dade County, Robin received specialized training on how to handle complex evidentiary issues such as DNA, drug analysis and identification, ballistics, latent finger print evaluations, gunshot residue, handwriting comparisons, and firearm identification. Over the course of his career, he has participated in a vast number of jury trials, with cases ranging from minor misdemeanor offenses to major felonies and violent crimes. Robin has also prepared and successfully argued numerous criminal appeals in his years of practicing law.

Today, Robin’s primary areas of practice include criminal defense, family law, civil litigation, and immigration. He is a member in good standing of the Florida Bar and is admitted to practice in all circuit courts throughout the state, as well as admitted to federal practice in the United States District Court for the Southern District. Additionally, he has had the pleasure of successfully representing clients in numerous criminal matters at both the state and federal levels, defending clients against deportation in immigration court, litigating countless complex issues in family court, and representing various corporate clients in civil court. His commitment to his clients has never wavered, and he prides himself on putting in the hours to deliver in court.
